Store Safety – Illnesses and Accidents
The most effective way to protect employees and customers from injury is to implement a safety program. Ensure that all employees are aware of the policies and procedures that must be followed to keep themselves and their coworkers safe. The goal of any workplace safety program is to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths, as well as the financial burden that these events can have on employees, their families, and their employers. In this course we’ll look at frequent causes of illnesses and injuries in the supermarket, as well as how companies can create a safe environment for their staff and customers.
This course has the following objectives:
- Recognize the various types of common injuries and how to treat them
- Recall what actions should be taken if an employee exhibits symptoms of an illness
- Identify the most common causes of store accidents and the steps to avoid them
- Explain the meaning of a modified duty program and how it works
